Who We Are
Since March 2022, The Promise Academy provides elite and exceptional private tutoring and test preparation services that specializes in reading, English and writing. Our test preparation services include F.A.S.T, SAT, ACT, PSAT, and the new CLT assessment. Our team of experienced and certified teachers are passionate about helping students achieve academic excellence and building a strong foundation for their future.

Our goal is to make learning an enjoyable and rewarding experience for every student who walks through our doors.
Meet Our Founder and CEO
Sheneka Brown a native of Miami, Florida and the visionary behind The Promise Academy. She graduated from the Union Institute and University with multiple degrees in education. Sheneka has dedicated nearly two decades to educating and inspiring students in Miami Dade County Public Schools (MDCPS). She is a proud mother of two sons, a certified educator, author, and a successful entrepreneur. As the CEO of "The Promise Academy, LLC," Sheneka Brown focuses on tutoring at-risk students in grades K-12, providing them with the hope and future they deserve. Her center has become a beacon of support for children who were once struggling readers and a light for scholars whose aspirations are to attend a higher learning institution.
Achievements and Contributions
Sheneka Brown's dedication to education and community service has earned her numerous accolades, including the 2024 Literacy Trailblazer Award from the City of Miami Gardens, the 2023 Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award from President Joe Biden, and the 2023 Generational Cure & Miami Dolphins Unite Awards. Additionally, she was awarded the 2023 i-Heart Radio Women’s History Award for her community service. She is also listed on the Proclamation for the City of Miramar, along with Stichiz from 103.5 the Beat, for her advocacy of literacy. Every December 17 is celebrated as "Book and Ice Cream Day" at Cleveland’s Ice Cream in honor of her and Stichiz’s children’s books.
